A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

I have always been slightly obsessed with how things smell.

The kind of obsession where I would spend an embarrassing number of hours learning about aroma chemicals, sniffing raw materials, reading about legendary perfume masters, and genuinely believing that a well-constructed fragrance is an art form.

I was born and raised in Tropical North Queensland. Hot. Humid. Beautiful. The kind of place where your whole nervous system slows down the moment you arrive. Where the air smells of hot sun, tropical monsoons and rainforest. Where golden hour lasts forever and an icy cold glass of a little something, something becomes a spiritual experience.

Sunkissed Lifestyle started because I couldn't find what I wanted. I wanted fine fragrances that balanced sophistication with tropical vibes. The scent of tanned skin, beach air, tropical nights and mornings when the day hasn't decided if it will melt you or drown you. While at the same I didn’t want to smell like a $20 synthetic, sugary, banana coconut caramel body spray. IYKYK.

Perfume is the heart of what we do. I don't believe in one signature scent any more than I believe in one signature mood. Sometimes you need something fresh and uplifting, other times you need a warm comforting hug, while other evenings call for a sexy and adventurous fragrance. A good fragrance wardrobe should cover all your personalities. And as a Gemini woman, I have a number of personalities!!

The desire to develop body lotions came from a personal need. I was spending serious money on active ingredients for my face (niacinamide, ceramides, retinol), while using basic moisturisers on my body.

My skin has spent decades in the Queensland sun and sadly it is beginning to show with crepey skin, sun spots and serious dryness. Body lotions simply did nothing and heavier butters or creams became a greasy mess in the heat.

So I worked with a professional biochemist-led company which specialises in developing products that support the skin’s biome to formulate something that actually does more than a bit of hydration, and scented it with Sun-kissed Lifestyle fragrances to create the perfect layering combos.

I guess I ended up creating products for me. I am, for better or worse, my own customer.

I am not promising younger skin or a better life. I am promising you something beautifully made, honestly described, and genuinely worth the space it takes up in your bathroom.

Life is too short to wear perfume that is just okay.
